Survey regarding side-events at COP 15
Clipore researchers are conducting a survey at the 15th Conference of Parties of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change in Copenhagen. Questionnaires are distributed to conference participants at the Bella Centre and at side events organized by UNFCCC, IETA and the EU.
The function of side events at the climate negotiations have been surveyed in an ongoing research project since 2007. The last two year surveys of 42 official side events, consists of distributing and collecting surveys from the participants in these side events. Well over 2000 questionnaires have been received from organizers, delegates and side event participants at Bali and Poznan.

The survey is an independent research study, part of the Mistra Climate Policy research programme CLIPORE, www.clipore.org, coordinated with and endorsed by the UNFCCC secretariat. Reference person is Observer Organizations Liaison Officer, Megumi Endo. The study is carried out by Clipore scholars.  The results of the study have been presented to numerous organizations, including at seminars at the UNFCCC secretariat, the Bonn Climate Meeting in June 2009 and to Swedish Ministries.
